The King Abdullah II Fund for Development (KAFD) is launching its "My Story with KAFD” vodcast, taking audiences on a journey through the stories and experiences of beneficiaries whose participation in KAFD’s programs and projects marked pivotal moments in their lives. These stories reflect the impact of a 25-year development journey centered on investing in people, building their capacities, empowering them to create opportunities, and enabling their active contribution to development.
The vodcast is being launched as part of KAFD’s efforts to highlight the impact of its development journey through success stories told by the beneficiaries themselves, as they are the true testament to the impact of KAFD’s programs and projects and the transformations they have brought about in their professional and community journeys. Their stories reflect the progress they have made and the achievements they have accomplished. Coinciding with KAFD’s Silver Jubilee, the vodcast also documents part of a development journey spanning a quarter of a century.
Director General of the King Abdullah II Fund for Development, Dr. Samer Al-Mofleh, said that KAFD views success stories as an indicator of the development impact achieved. He emphasized that the next phase will continue to build on KAFD’s achievements while developing a strategy for the coming three years that responds to His Majesty’s vision and national priorities represented by the economic, political, and public sector modernization tracks, as well as the needs of individuals and communities. This approach is guided by KAFD’s Silver Jubilee theme, "A Renewed Vision… A Future in the Making.”
The second season of the vodcast features the stories and experiences of beneficiaries across a range of development areas, most notably skills development and enhanced employment opportunities, economic empowerment and entrepreneurship, education and capacity building, volunteerism and community engagement, and political empowerment. The episodes highlight the tangible impact these programs and projects have had on beneficiaries and their communities and will be released successively across KAFD’s digital platforms and social media channels.
Established in 2001 by Royal Decree, the King Abdullah II Fund for Development (KAFD) contributes to advancing comprehensive development across the Kingdom’s governorates through programs and projects designed to build citizens’ capacities, enhance productivity, support entrepreneurship and innovation, and promote active participation in Jordan’s sustainable development.
